This explains what Slate House collects, why, and what we do with it. We keep it short, because we collect very little.

What we collect

When you apply to work with us, we collect what you put in the application: your name, email, a description of your business, your market, your platform and handle, where you are now, what you want, your investment range, and your timeline.

We also collect basic technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type, and timestamps. We use this to keep the site secure and to prevent abuse.

How we use it

We use your application to review fit and to contact you if there is one. We use technical data to operate, secure, and understand usage of the site. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We rely on a few providers to run the site. Your data passes through them only so the site can function:

• Resend, to deliver application emails to us.
• Vercel, for hosting and basic, privacy-respecting analytics.
• Upstash, for rate-limiting that prevents abuse.

How long we keep it

We keep applications for as long as we are in contact or there is a reasonable chance of working together. Technical logs are kept only briefly, for security.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will take care of it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with care.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date below. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
